Don’t know if you caught the news yesterday about Barack Obama’s campaign. The numbers were impressive. He raised 25 million bucks! But I was more impressed by the number of individual donors, 100,000! That’s damn good. I figure it’s time to put my money where my mouth is. I think I might be donor 100,001! I like the fact that he is reaching out to everyday people for support with a message of working together to solve this nation’s problems and it seems like he actually means it!  Also, the Obama campaign is not taking donations from lobbyists or political action committees. When I was submitting my more than generous online donation I had to check the following disclaimer:

  1. I am a United States citizen or a lawfully-admitted permanent resident.
  2. I am at least 16 years old.
  3. This contribution is not made from the general treasury funds of a corporation, labor organization or national bank.
  4. This contribution is not made from the funds of a political action committee.
  5. This contribution is not made from the treasury of an entity or person who is a federal contractor.
  6. This contribution is not made from the funds of an individual registered as a federal lobbyist or a foreign agent, or an entity that is a federally registered lobbying firm or foreign agent.
  7. The funds I am donating are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.

So Barack is my man and I’m standing by him. (Michelle, I mean that figuratively!) It would be great if you would all send him lots of money and support but I know better than that. You know my line. I don’t care who you support I am just happy if you are involved in the political process even if you are a staunch conservative. Remember, terrorists won’t destroy this country complacency will do that.

As much as I am a loyalist to Hillary Clinton. I will be supporting Barack Obama. I fiqure that if he does prevail in the primary, there will be a spot for Hillary somewhere in his adminstration. Yeah!!!

That’s cool! I keep wavering between Clinton and Obama (I guess I have 10 mos to figure it out) but that just plopped me right back into Obama’s camp.

How can anyone take either one seriously, when all both of them do is talk a good talk and stumble all over themselves when pressed for details on how they will accomplish this garden of Eden that they are promising. As we all know actions speak louder then words, and as of yet we have seen nothing but grand promises.

” Also, the Obama campaign is not taking donations from lobbyists or political action committees. When I was submitting my more than generous online donation I had to check the following ”

You have to do the same on Hillary’s donation page (though somewhat differently worded):

https://contribute.hillaryclinton.com/form.html?sc=3

I assume this is legally required.

I am all the way down with Barack. I am even considering pulling my purse straps apart for a contribution. I have never been this excited about the presidential race!

I’m down with Obama, too!
